After two successful seasons on TBS, Hana Yori Dango traveled to the silver screen in 2008 and immediately became one of the year's biggest blockbusters. Hana Yori Dango: Final wrote a storybook finish to the bickering but heartfelt romance of Inoue Mao's spunky heroine Makino Tsukushi and Matsumoto Jun's rich and arrogant Domyoji Tsukasa, and took the photogenic cast on a trip around the world in process with location shooting in Hong Kong and Las Vegas. Similar to the special that was aired before the second season's broadcast, Hana Yori Dango - Special TV Final Kokai Kinen: Binbo Makinoke ga Iku Hong Kong Macao Goka Ryoko!! is a television special produced to align with the film. Basically a travel variety program featuring the HYD cast, Binbo Makino e ga Iku Hong Kong Macao Goka Ryoko!! brings the Makino family to Hong Kong and Macau for a luxurious vacation with wacky challenges and sightseeing. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, the members of F4 go all in for a gambling showdown.

Based on the same Hur Young Man comic that inspired silver-screen blockbuster Le Grand Chef, 2008 SBS drama The Grand Chef (a.k.a. Gourmet) garnered rave reviews and top ratings with its delicious story and cast. Korean Wave heartthrob Kim Rae Won (Rooftop Room Cat, What Planet Are You From?) shows off his culinary skills as a grand chef, along with the talented lineup of Nam Sang Mi (Time Between Dog and Wolf, Sweet Spy), Kwon Oh Joong (Damo), and Kim So Yeon (All About Eve) and the mighty pen of renowned screenwriter Choi Wan Kyu (Jumong, All In). But the true star of the show just might be the dazzling array of food that appears in the drama! Bringing the art of Korean cuisine to television screens in delectable detail, The Grand Chef makes mouths water with colorful scenes of cooking competitions and elaborate gourmet dishes, providing viewers with useful cooking tips and delicious recipes along the way.

Practically raised in the kitchen of Korea's most prestigious traditional restaurant, Sung Chan (Kim Rae Won) and Bong Joo (Kwon Oh Joong) have both been trained since an early age by Bong Joo's father (Choi Bool Am) to become master chefs. Cool, meticulous, and ambitious, Bong Joo has been striving for years with the expectation that he'll eventually inherit the restaurant and its royal legacy. His father, however, favors Sung Chan who is actually a descendant of the Joseon era royal chef. As the nonchalant Sung Chan gradually becomes more serious about cooking, his natural talent in the kitchen turns into a formidable threat to Bong Joo and rival chef Min Woo (Won Ki Joon, Jumong). When the three face off in an epic cooking competition, Min Woo and Bong Joo reveal their true sides with plans for sabotage. Shocked by the betrayal, Sung Chan disappears without a word, and starts a new life as a traveling vendor selling food to delighted housewives from a converted van. Enjoying his new low-key life, Sung Chan is content to let things be, but the past has a way of catching up.

  • Life Made Simple (DVD) (Part I) (To Be Continued) (English Subtitled) (TVB Drama) (US Version) DVD Region All Roger Kwok (Actor) | Jessica Hsuan (Actor) | Angela Tong (Actor) | Raymond Cho (Actor)
Life Made Simple is a spin-off of the insanely popular 2003 TVB series Square Pegs, with the period background changed to a contemporary setting. The winning formula is back, as are the main cast members, with Roger Kwok again playing Ah Wong, the big chump who is a little dumb, but always positive and optimistic. This time, Ah Wong has to deal with life without his childhood mate "Little Wife" (Jessica Hester Hsuan), and face competition for her heart from half-brother Chung (Bosco Wong) and Shing (Raymond Cho). This dramedy series not only won Roger Kwok his second Best Actor award, but also made a star out of Angela Tong Ying Ying, whose popularity skyrocketed overnight with the role of the homely Li Siu Ho. She then went on to win Best Supporting Actress at the 2005 TVB Anniversary Awards.
